Rev. Moon Talks On True Love

As we live in this world. We witness the violence , hatred and jealousy among each other. Is there a better place we can live ?


What do we value most in life? What makes us happy? Some will say "money and wealth." Others will respond without doubt: "Wisdom and knowledge." Some others again may suggest: "Power, position and fame." Are money, wealth, knowledge, power and fame then the most important things in our lives? When we face this question seriously, other thoughts may arise.

There is no doubt that we all seek for wealth, knowledge, power and fame which, although valuable, in themselves are not the source of our happiness. Someone could have all the wealth in the world, as well as knowledge but, if obliged to live in isolation, such a person would not be happy. Goals such as money, wealth, knowledge, power and fame only have meaning and value when they are shared or used for the benefit of others.

We are happy when we can share with other's people position, wealth, knowledge or anything of value that we possess. If someone offered you billions of dollars as well as knowledge and power in exchange for your loving spouse, parents or children, would you sell them? Would you be happy afterward? Only when we have harmonious relationships of true love with others can we experience the greatest happiness.




"The International Language of Love"


Consequently, happiness requires a relationship with someone and this is true as much for God as for man. Therefore, we have to come to the conclusion that what is most precious in life is love. No amount of money, power or knowledge can ever match the infinite power of true love. It does not matter how long we live: our biological existence does not have value unless we experience love. We live for the ecstasy and the fulfillment of love. This is the way God created us.

Sun Myung Moon is called by many a "Cult Leader", and yet more and more world leaders see him a "Man of Peace". In his life he encountered so much persecution, misunderstanding, mistreatment and few incarcerations, yet this man never gave up. Today his fruits show that his heart and his mind, all he did were only dedicated for the liberation of God and for the salvation of Humanity.




One Family Under God

Sun Myung Moon mission is to create a world of peace. A peace that can enjoy prosperity, equality, world beyond race, culture and denomination. Rev.Moon says, Ultimately, the problems afflicting humanity can only be resolved through the worldview of One Family under God, in other words, the ideology based on True Love, which my wife and I, the True Parents, have learned from Heaven and have championed and taught throughout our lives. This is the only way for humankind to find the path toward peace and happiness.

In his lifelong journey to build a world of peace Rev. Sun Myung Moon humbly says, Even now, I am filled with love that I have not yet been able to give. It is a prayer that this love will become river of Peace saturating the drought-stricken land and flowing to the ends of the earth that I now place this book before the world. Recently, a growing number of people have been seeking to know about me. For the sake of those who are curious I have looked back on my life and recorded my candid recollections in this book entitled "As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen".



When I first met Rev. Moon, I already had an established reputation as a theologian and an historian of religion whose works had been translated into a number of foreign languages. My views on theology were and remain very different than his. Rev. Moon always treated me with sophisticated understanding and very great courtesy.

The Love of a True Man and a True Woman

A husband and wife should love, care, forgive, and live for the sake of one another. This and much more we can learn from Reverend Sun Myung Moon's speech, "The Love of a True Man and Woman".


^“ God created man in his image and in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.

When God's most beautiful masterpieces, male and female, love each other centering on God, this love is the most wonderful love, the very first love, the representative of all other kinds of love, and the love that gives out light eternally. When a man and woman love each other, we must ask whether their love equals the standard of love which God had in mind as a model. We can conclude that if the first man and woman had become united through love centering on God, then they would have become the model for a God-centered universe.

God desired to see this level of love from them. Man and woman would also have desired this level of love from each other. This level of true love has to be the core of the universe. It would become a standard similar to the standard of meters and centimeters. The love between man and woman must be one centered on God's ideal of creation, not just centered on their own couple. If a man and woman are a God-centered couple, we can conclude that the wife can go wherever the husband goes and the husband can go wherever the wife goes, and the couple can go wherever God dwells.

In the heart of a man, there is a woman whom God loves; and in the heart of this woman who is the man's object, there is also a man loved by God. When they come to praise each other, God would watch and feel happy, and the whole creation would also feel joy. The content of happiness which the man and woman share would become the precious content of joy for both heaven and earth. The place where man and woman are loving and embracing each other becomes the place where the whole universe unites. This is God's original ideal for creation.

The cause of human existence is love and the purpose of human existence lies in completing the Ideal of love. Human beings came into being through love, and so their purpose is to perfect love by forming a foundation of love and expanding and connecting it. In other words, since the beginning is love the purpose has to be reach through love as well. For this a man and a woman in partnership must become one in love and connect from back, left and right and above and below. No matter how firmly we have determined to become an absolute being and establish an absolute purpose, this will be useless unless we are happy. Our daily life should always be happy.

What is most precious for a man and a woman? We all know that everyone who lives on earth has its own purpose in life. When we have achieved that purpose, something new will exist that is greater than existence itself. One might ask What is most precious for a man and a woman? What is it? The answer is love. Love is the key element needed to experience happiness. No matter how lofty a person's purpose may be, if he fails to establish a love that can take dominion over his purpose, he will have to pursue a new purpose. Purpose cannot stand above love.

What do human being live for? What are you living for? There will be some who say they live to eat and there will be some who say they live to work or they live without purpose. What do human beings live for? If you say you live for the sake of love, how great this answer is! Human beings are born as the fruit of love, live in love, and return to the eternal love of God's bosom. This is the original life of creation.

Why are Human Beings Born?

If we ask ourselves "Is life first, or is love first? " We can claim each to be first. Which do you think really comes first? It is love that comes first. Relating this to the core of the universe, in order for something to have value, there must be an original flow of love. When we examine where life comes from, we must ask the question as to which comes first, is it life or love. Until now we have not been able to discern this clearly. Love comes first, then live. Because what comes second must meekly surrender to what comes first, it is natural that we offer our lives for the sake of love. This is the way things are. This then provides an answer as to the TRUE COURSE FOR OUR LIFE. Since our life is born in love, the conclusion is that we must walk the way of love and die for love.

Human beings are not born based on their own choice. Then, are they born due to their parents' wishes? The answer is No. They are born due to God's desire. They are born through the love of their parents, which represent God's love. The person, who is born as a new life through parental love, representing God's love, is I. Love has the power to create everything. The one who is born as the center of the whole universe by receiving all the love of the universe is none other than I. The highest purpose of life is to be be born through love, be raised in love, live by love and to leave love behind. The most valuable thing to do is to fulfill, in the family, the rules of love that lie at the center of the universe.

You should understand why human beings are born. They are not born for the sake of knowledge or political power. They are born because of love and from love. Then what makes love so great? It is the fact that love is the original source of life. You are born in the midst of your parents' love. You are not born out of your parents' desire for money or knowledge. Since you are born in love like this, you should bear fruits of love. This is why you need children. A husband and wife become complete when they become one and have sons and daughters as their object partners.

My Testimony: "God guided me to Meet Rev. Moon the returning Christ"

I am grateful that I was born on earth knowing how wonderful this world is. I was born sensitive, humble and meek person. Our family has a strong faith who always turned to God and to Jesus . When I was young I witness my parents how much they took good care of me and I really felt their loving tender care. I thank my parents for their sacrifices in bringing me into this world.

Years past by and as I grew up, My eyes begun to open. I was surprise and see many problems into this world. I ask myself the following questions. Why in this world so many broken families, so much conflicts, so much jealousy to one another and why in this world full of suffering? All this questions of mine gives me anxiety to my life existence. However, I live my life full of devotion never give up and never stop searching. I am hoping that God somehow, will guide me in pursuit to give me answer to all problems dealing with human existence. My life journey goes on.
I enter into university and one day I have a short talk to a friend of mine. He ask me if it is okay for me to attend a seminar workshop discussion. He briefly explain that if I have question deals with human existence then I better attend. I never have a second thought so I accepted the invitation and give it a try.

Unification Church is the name of the organization. Their doctrine is called "Divine Principle." The Unification Principle comprises of 16 chapter. The first chapter explain about God's creation. I learned what is my purpose in life. The second chapter explain about Human suffering. I learned that the cause of human suffering deals with sexuality centered on Satan. Some chapter explain about Last days. Is there really end of the world. I learned that the world is eternal and mean to live Forever. The Bible states a generation goes and a generation comes but the world remains Forever.

The Last Chapter of the Principles teaches about The Lord of the second coming. This is the most important I learn in my life. When I found out that Father Moon is the returning Christ my life became more serious. I never thought that all questions of my life will give an answer. The Unification Principle saves my life. I thank God, Jesus and all my ancestors guided me to meet Rev. Sun Myung Moon. He is my savior and I firmly believed he is the returning Christ. I want to encourage people of faith living on earth to study who Rev. Sun Myung Moon is. Life is short. This is only once in a lifetime experience.
